Madhuwan - BROMLEY

We had another wonderful dinner for four at Madhuwan. We absolutely loved the momos and the Tandoori chicken. The pace of the meal was perfect, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed.

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service was lacking this time. They were short-staffed, which isn't ideal for Valentine's night. However, the staff was very apologetic and honest about the reasons for the slow service. The lighting was quite bright, with some downlights shining directly in our faces, which took away from the romantic atmosphere. Despite these issues, the quality of the food is always worth the few pounds it costs.

I’m quite frustrated that OpenTable did not inform me that the restaurant was closed for kitchen renovations. It's not too much to ask for better communication about what's going on with a restaurant.

Always delicious food in madhuwan, bromley. the best Indian restaurant I tried in the opposite. always worth a special trip. friendly and efficient service. wonderful!

Oh dear, how the chef has pandered to local Downham tastes. Instead of spicy and contrasting food flavours we were offered bland fayre whether it was chicken or lamb. How can a tomato and cumin seasoning be bland? The ambiance was splendid as ever but the fresh herb and spice zing that so brought this restaurant to the fore was absent. Maybe the chef had an off day or maybe simple economics has moved Madhuwan from culinary to post-pub food.
