The Old Jail - BROMLEY

We had been to this pub on two separate occasions, first occasion there items of drink and food that the pub did not have albeit on their menu: tomato juice, skate, caesar salad, salmon, pizza. The second occasion we went there they did not have any bitter, it was a Sunday and the food was very limited. Over all what food and drink we did have was appreciated. However the roast dinner had vegetables that were not cooked, not just al donte but not cooked, the carrots were raw, roast parsnips were hard so were the roast potatoes and the food was cold, how ever the roast lamb was beautiful.

We popped in here after my brother in law had done his Spitfire flight and wasn’t disappointed. Great service, good beer and well cooked food. Great pictures in the pub and a brilliant mural of a Lancaster and a spitfire in the garden room. I would definitely recommend

I had only a good lunch with my husband. the staff is very friendly and pleasant. will definitely go back.

Arrived 7.45. staff checked with kitchen if OK for party of 6 to eat. all OK. was recommend by the people at flyspitfire. good choice. food .service. quality and quantity all very good. washed down with a great beer. Longmans suggested by staff. another good...choice. thanks for a great end to a wonderful day.

I have read the Managers replies, my original review was taken down. There was an Ibiza event held there a few months back which was much louder and much more busy..in fact long queues for the outside bar and food. I cannot imagine anybody there...being rude to staff! Very nice crowd A young barmaid said there were 500 people there! There really wasn't..I know what 500 people looks like There are disparities in what the landlord says...on the day he said he ran out of beer..yes talk about a pub with no beer The only person there that was rude was the manager throwing a cable over the fence!! If this pub relied on locals, they wouldn't make much money Maybe that's what the problem is for him that it was a free event and he didnt make more money!!! There is an event due to be held here in August ..perhaps people should be made aware they might be thrown out after making long journeys
