Desirables gateries - Bromont

Desirable makes great pies. We regularly buy their quiches, chicken and Mexican pies for our lunch during the week. All are made with the best ingredients. They also have a wide selection of dessert pies. Prices are higher than store bought but the qualify exceeds what you get at the super market. Desirable is open Thursdays to Sunday so you should to stop over the weekend.

The pies are awesome. They are what I would call pies made by grandma with love. We are definitely going back whenever we're in the area... we might even drive there just for this place! :)We had 3 simply amazing pies. One was a chicken pot pie that had a wonderful chicken stew inside - think comfort food, one was tomato which was something new for me to experience - we suggest to finish this the first day you have it because the tomatoes won't be a good the next day, the other had berries and it was like biting into homemade jam.

I can't stop eating what I bought, honest I can't. They are much more expensive than supermarkets and I did mention it. I was told that everything is hand made fresh daily. Once home and after just ONE bite I was doubled hooked. You feel it in every bite. Ask questions like I did and you will discover another side in the bakery world. Beware very delicious.

Yumm, leur tartes sont plus que parfaites. On pourrait s'en faire maison mais celles des désirables sont extra!

My spouse is Quebecoise and at this time of year loves her traditional meat pies. Desirables' are the only ones I have ever enjoyed in over 25 years of trying them throughout the province, homemade or otherwise. Zucchini breads (not too sweet) are divine as are the sugar pies. Just walk by for the smell.
