It felt like we were paying double for half the amount of food. One of the dishes even tasted like the chef accidentally poured sugar in while cooking. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and do not recommend this place unless you enjoy feeling hungry and wasting your money.
Our party of four had the place to ourselves before other customers arrived, allowing us to enjoy the attentive and friendly service from our server, Pookie. We started with delicious appetizers such as vegetable dumplings, fried spring rolls, and papaya salad. The fish with garlic and pepper was particularly mouthwatering, lightly battered and fried to perfection. The shrimp and chicken pad Thai were also flavorful, and the Thai tea was sweet and creamy. However, the desserts were a bit disappointing. While the fried bananas were a tasty option, both the ricotta and pistachio cake and the chocolate temptation cake were frozen and lacked the desired texture. Overall, Tana Thai offered good food and a pleasant dining experience, making it worth a visit.
The service provided by Pookie, our server, was both attentive and friendly. For appetizers, we enjoyed delicious vegetable dumplings, fried spring rolls, and a flavorful papaya salad. Moving on to the entrees, the fish with garlic and pepper was particularly noteworthy, as it was lightly battered and fried to perfection. The shrimp and chicken pad Thai also impressed with its delicious and rich flavors. To wash it all down, their Thai tea was sweet and creamy. However, our experience with the desserts was a bit lackluster. While the fried bananas were tasty, the ricotta and pistachio cake was unfortunately hard and frozen, and the chocolate dessert was slightly frozen as well. Overall, Tana Thai provided a satisfying dining experience with good quality food, making it a restaurant worth a visit.
Sound Thai food with classic cuisine options that fulfill a “during the shift can only eat once” meal. $15 a dish. 3.5/5 stars as a lunch spot.
Do not recommend take out. The menu says that they add more sauce so that the noodles don’t stick together, but they either don’t do it or that method doesn’t work. There’s a 1.50 convenience fee, which is unexplained, even though ordered via their own website.Pad Thai wasn’t very good. Usually more volume makes up for quality, but wasn’t high volume either.Maybe this place better to stay and eat inside.
