Chez Fonfon - Brook Highland

I'm glad I went and tried this restaurant, but I don't have a desire to return.Food tasted great. Menu is based on season, so I didn't get to try their Fig Salad. Shrimp Po'Boy and Coconut Pecan Cake was amazing.My French 75 cocktail tasted so refreshing, probably one of the best tasting 75's for me.Although hoststaff and waitstaff service was attentive, it felt robotic and cookie-cutter.The food came out so very quick (within a few minutes of ordering), I wondered if they were trying to rush me out if there.If you like sitting outside, their backyard patio looks super cute. I was relegated to an indoor table next to the front door traffic.

Very good service, the mussels and fries were delicious, the lemon tart wasn't the best, and the soup was a bit too salty too, but other than that it was a good experience.

Delicious food and wonderful experience. We didn’t have a reservation and waited about 20 minutes to sit at the bar on a Wednesday night at 6pm. For drinks we got the americano and pecan old fashioned. A lot of ice in the drinks but they were delish! For apps we got the salmon tartine and the oefs mayonnaise (basically a soft boiled deviled egg). Cannot recommend the salmon tartine enough! Such fresh salmon and my fiancé was raving about it all night. For dinner we got the duck confit and steak frites! I have to say that is one of the best steaks I’ve had in my life, if I came back I’d get that over and over again. The duck was also delicious, crispy skin and perfectly seasoned vegetables. Ended with the coconut cake and espresso. Delightful meal, we will definitely be back! Thank you Chez Fonfon!

We ordered the trout, salmon (Tuesday special), chicken salad, and quiche. We finished with the Basque cake and Chocolate pot de crème. All the dishes were delicious. The quiche was prepared in a thick and fluffy method that we were not used to, and it is now the best quiche that we have ever experienced. The salmon was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The dishes were all laid out beautifully and the staff were very prompt and professional with collection and silverware/dishware distributions. We had a great experience here and felt as if we were truly experience fine dining but without the exorbitant price tags of some 'high end ' restauraunts.
