189 Sports Cafe - Brookfield

I had lunch at this restaurant and I was really impressed! The service, food quality, and overall value were all outstanding — my expectations were exceeded. I enjoyed some beverages and started off with the blackened chicken nachos, which were delicious. For my main course, I had the chicken naan sandwich and the chicken waffles sandwich, both of which came with truffle fries. Everything was fantastic! Overall, I’d rate the experience a 9 out of 10. The only reason I deducted a point is that the outdoor seating is just a few meters from a main road, but it certainly wasn't a dealbreaker.

The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of delicious options. I can't wait to return and try more dishes. The service was both friendly and attentive.

I want to start by highlighting how friendly and welcoming the staff was, as well as the excellent service we received. The macaroni and cheese was incredibly creamy and just melted in my mouth. The fried floral bites with the sweet sesame glaze were absolutely delightful. Everyone else at our table really enjoyed their meals as well. I gave this restaurant 4 stars because the location isn't the best, and I believe it would thrive in a different spot. However, that shouldn't deter you from giving it a try!

While I enjoy my culinary experience here, I gave it a 4-star review because there are some things I feel should be mentioned. Our server (I unfortunately did not ask her name) was excellent! 1. I would like a coaster or a napkin under my glass. The condensation that gathered on the table and on my clothes was a lot. I was out on the terrace. 2. My NY Strip Steak special was cooked for perfection, I rarely ordered it. However, I did not expect my roasted finger potatoes to arrive very rarely. They were precooked what is good, but the last finish should have been hot and have a nice tie. They weren't. They were boiled, almost crunchy and room temperature. They'll be perfect when I throw them in a pan and cook them properly. 3. The bathroom was absolutely cruel. The sink was dirty and the garbage could not have been emptied in many, many hours until it was flooded everywhere. Also the door was so squeaky that it was very embarrassing to go in and out of it, as everyone in the area saw as I went in and out. With a few tweaks and nothing that costs extra money, except a few napkins or coasters, this would be a 5-star rating! I will be 100% again and hope to change my review!
