Hops N Scotch Brookline

I had a wonderful brunch with some friends on Sunday! The food was delicious, and I highly recommend trying the "Not Your Average Starbucks Drink"—it's definitely our favorite! The service was outstanding, and since it was a typical fall day, the outdoor heaters made the experience even better!

The food is absolutely fantastic! Everything was served fresh and hot, and the home fries are simply the best! I also highly recommend the Tres Leches French toast. I visited during peak brunch hours on a Sunday, and I was seated quickly. Our waitress, Alex, was incredible—very prompt and attentive. I never felt rushed at all. There’s a great selection of beers on tap, too. The atmosphere is really cool. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a draft beer, and even if you're not, it's worth the trip!

The food was quite satisfying overall. The spicy shrimp dish could use a bit more shrimp, but it was flavorful. The portions for the mac and cheese and the edamame salad were generous and delicious. While the spicy mussels didn't quite deliver on the spice, they were still enjoyable. The paella was tasty but reminded me more of a risotto. The service was excellent—very attentive and friendly. They also offer a fantastic selection of beer and single malt scotch. The atmosphere was inviting, catering to a comfortably youthful crowd, and there were several casual dates happening as well. The music had a good rhythm, and while the noise level increased as the evening progressed, it was still manageable. This place definitely works for me.

I have been here probably, 8/9 times now. (We go every Monday for Trivia). The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu, and do their best to keep your drinks filled. I've had a few different things here, all of which were great. The Buffalo Chicken mac and cheese is probably the best I can remember. Prices are slightly high, but not unreasonable. They have an extensive and reasonably priced scotch list.

Great food and whiskey selection! P.S. the lava cake is delicious but does not come with the creme anglais as listed on the menu.
