Sapporo Ramen (brookline)

What a pleasant surprise! Every dish we ordered was delicious! Kara age curry don, shoyu ramen, tan tan men and Tako-yaki.The waitress was very attentive and service was excellent. The place clean and nicely decorated. The washroom was super clean too!Kid-friendliness: The waitress brought forks and two small bowls for the kids to eat.

Over a great place to have some Ramen in Brookline. The hot and sour ramen was outstanding and the pork gyoza was better than expected. It's just too bad that the wait staff and food wait took forever. I wonder if they were short-staffed the day? I went because for lunchtime the place was near empty yet we had to wait to get seated. Once we did there was a wait to put our order in there was a long wait to get our drinks and food. I'm willing to give this place another chance I'm hoping that this is a one-time inconvenience.

My daughter who ranted about this place took us when we visited her at her college. I have to say it did not disappoint. When we arrived we were the only patrons. I left for two minutes to wash my hands in the men’s room and when I returned the place was crowded and a line had formed outside waiting to get in. They move quickly in here so find what you want, eat and get out. Food was great! Can’t wait for my next trip there.

Absolutely delicious! The broth is fantastic—perfectly balanced with both vegetables and meat.

The ramen comes in a smaller bowl. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and the shin ramen. The broth was fantastic—thick and packed with flavor. The noodles had a fantastic chewy texture. However, the cha shu was a letdown; it tasted rather bland, as if it had been cooked without seasoning, which made the overall bowl of ramen feel a bit lacking. I would return when I'm craving ramen, but I really hope they improve the cha shu, especially considering the $17 price per bowl. There are other places that offer better quality meat for the same price point.
