The service has become friendlier too, and they've even changed the name to Thai Thai Kitchen. I'm excited to try everything on the menu now—there have been some absolutely amazing improvements!
It's a cozy little spot, but the food is absolutely delicious! The quality of the food is consistently great. While the interior is small with just a few tables, I typically opt for takeout. Everything I've tried has been mouthwatering. Highly recommend!
The Tom Yum noodle soup was disappointing, which is unfortunate because this restaurant used to serve the best Tom Yum soup around. I understand the name has changed, but it seems the recipe has as well. It used to be packed with flavor and spice, but today it tasted like a vaguely sour broth. Such a letdown.
Pineapple Thai was always hit or miss, so I was excited to give Thai Thai a try. While the coconut shrimp was fantastic, the pineapple curry wasn't great the carrots and other vegetables were raw, and the chicken was rubbery. BF's Fiery Pad Thai was decent, same with the roommate's Pad See Ew. We had to go back as the rice was forgotten, but that ended up being crunchy and not amazing, either.
I ordered out. The girl at the counter was very polite and friendly. The soups (both Tom Yum and Tom Kha) were just not good. The flavors were very different. I also got Pad Thai which was okay, nothing too exceptional that would make it want to come back. The prices are very affordable though.
