They are perfectly cooked and seasoned, and they don't feel greasy at all. The staff is also very friendly.
This is a fantastic spot for a conversation with your significant other or for some quality mommy-and-me time. It's conveniently located near Prospect Park, making it easy to walk off your meal afterward! The drinks are truly excellent and crafted with care.
The restaurant has a lot of potential but suffers from poor management. It seems that the staff is primarily focused on the delivery side of the operation, neglecting the needs of dine-in customers. I recently moved to this neighborhood, and my fiancé suggested we try this place out. Upon entering, I was initially taken aback by the stunning decor, but that impression quickly faded when I was directed to the annexed room filled with brown bagged deliveries. This cramped space had a small window with employees constantly rushing back and forth, serving takeout. I refused to sit in such a congested area, so we opted to wait on the bench for a table in the main dining room. While sitting on the bench, I noticed a food tray nearby with two dumplings and a drink jar. It felt strange, perhaps an offering from an employee or an oversight—it certainly made me uncomfortable. Finally, we were seated in the main room. Our first dish, duck bun, was quite good and worth the wait. The second dish, fried calamari, was a bit too doughy but plentiful and not bad overall. Then came my favorite dish, the shrimp green curry. The shrimp looked great, and all the expected vegetables were included. When I took a spoonful of what looked delicious, however, I was taken aback by how incredibly spicy it was—something I’ve never experienced before, even in Thailand! I'm used to being asked about spice levels when places offer hot curry, so I didn't think to request a milder version. The bowl sat in front of me for the duration of the meal, and no one checked on how I was enjoying my food. My fiancé, feeling very hungry, tried to eat hers but gave up halfway through. With no offer to help alleviate the situation, I requested to have my dish boxed up so I could add coconut milk at home to make it more palatable. When I explained to the waiter that the dish was unbearably spicy, there was no follow-up or solution offered. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I hope the management can improve their service and customer care.
A beautiful, lovely cozy bistro right in the heart of Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Amazing service and delicious, fresh food. I love that they a limited selection, actually. I think this makes their dishes and drinks better. Top three Thai spots inBrooklyn for sure. Check it out!
This restaurant's interior was extremely fancy and it made me feel extremely high-end. There was a tiny bouquet in the middle of the table to accompany our lunch. The Thai iced tea was very refreshing and definitely satisfied a craving. I got the PanangCurry with Mock Duck, and honestly...it was okay. I enjoyed the Mock Duck in the beginning but the more I ate the more chewy andweird the texture became to me. It didn't even taste like duck anyway. I could barely get myself to finish the whole thing inthe end, and the coconut milk based part of the curry did not sit well with me. My friend got the Pineapple curry with tofu, that was also alright. It feels like a gentrified Thai place and I will definitely recommend a more authentic hole-in-the-walljoint, but I might come back and get something different!
