Each dish had its own distinct flavor and you can explore different flavor combos. Food came super fast as well. Service: Staff is friendly. They more less leave you alone. Perfect, if you’re looking to eat alone and not be bothered.
Very yummy vegetarian Ethiopian food in a pleasant environment. Smiling staff and a cool decor only add to the experience. Works well for dinner or brunch!
This place is a magical treat! Such a lovely surprise! I’ve eaten at Ethiopian restaurants around the world and the States, but this is by far my favourite so far. The owners are extremely lovely, modest, hard working, and helpful. I enjoyed every minute of our interesting, beautifully presented brunch. Dishes were tasty, healthy, and colourful. The drinks also are so interesting and gorgeous many containing juices, honey, herbs, and of course ‘the good stuff’. The decor was cosy and wonderful, almost like being part of an interesting stage set. For a few hours I was transported away from NY to a more relaxed, caring, and sensorially interesting place. They also appear to have various types of appetising beers imported from Ethiopia, which I must try next time, real Ethiopian coffee!
Had a great time. We were a table of 7. Ordered two of the 3 person shared platters which was plenty to share. Food was fresh. The coffee ceremony was an authentic touch. Will definitely return.
Okay food. Average service. excellent lentil sambusas. Did not care much for the flavors of any of the dishes. I have had Ethiopian food many times and this one was a disappointment. Three stars namely because the lentil sambusas and mimosas were great!
