Halsey Grill - Brooklyn

Delicious!! Everything we had was tasty, flavourful, fresh, and hot. We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu. Its been awhile that I've been out and enjoyed food that showed a talented chef, who cared about quality and presentation. And thecalamari...I can't get back there quick enough.

Where to start ? food is good, besides them not having any lobster on a seafood day they advertise on there social media page. But service was HORRIBLE ! There was about 12 of us. Apparently there was only 1 cook, and everyone?s food came out atdifferent time . After two plus hours and paying the bill, we was still waiting for the last entree to come out, which wasordered with everyone else. We had to take it to go. We was so upset and over it . I don?t recommend this place if you have aparty of more then 2 people !!

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I went on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was nice and calm. In the evening, it gets a bit louder and more crowded, but overall, it's a lovely place.

I moved on to the appetizers and ordered shrimp, calamari, and Buffalo wings. The calamari was overcooked and inedible, but the shrimp was decent. Unfortunately, the wings were disappointing as well; they were overly breaded and drenched in too much sauce. Still wanting to give this place a fair chance, I ordered a main course and another drink. Before I placed my order, the bartender—who was also serving tables along with another waiter who looked quite young—handed me a list of items they were out of, which included lamb chops and skirt steak, among others. I decided to go with the ribeye, requesting it cooked medium, along with veggies and mashed potatoes. After about a 45-minute wait, the steak arrived and was cooked very well done, with about 85% fat. It was honestly the worst piece of steak I've ever had. I also ordered a frozen Casamigos margarita, which turned out to be disappointing as well. In short, I had high hopes for this restaurant but left feeling extremely let down. As a strong supporter of Black-owned restaurants and lounges in Brooklyn, it's unfortunate that I won't be able to support this one. I definitely won't be returning.

The food was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly! I took my mom and little brothers out, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The host was exceptionally welcoming and provided great information. I love coming here!
