I've had the pleasure of frequenting Ignazio's for over a decade, and it never disappoints. This place has it's unique charm that combines one of the best pizza and exceptional service. Oh, and artichokes are great too. Tonight my waitress were Dana, she does a great job, always smiling and works fast. Even on busy days, they manage to find you a table. In a city filled with pizza joints, Ignazio's is certainly one of the best, and it is not a figure of speech their pizza is my preferred choice in the vicinity, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Ignazio's has earned a special place in my heart.
Its my favorite pizza of the 3 options here in fulton ferry landing (better than both Julianas and Grimaldis). The pizza does have a flop to it im not gonna lie BUT the flavor of this pizza is superior to the other two places. Decent beer/drinks menu. Service is usually pretty solid but sometimes can admittedly be a little slow. They are cash only which is honestly annoying in 2023 but they have an ATM that you can use. I recommend the plain margherita pizza or doing a sausage+mushrooms pizza toppings ontop of the margherita. They have a great view of the brooklyn bridge which the other spots do not have. The seating is fairly comfy and the tables are nicely spaced apart. They have outdoor seating too like 3-4 tables worth. They often have a much shorter line than the other spots nearby however I have seen this place have a line around the block before during peak tourist season as well. If you dont like oregano then you probably will not like this pizza as its definitely heavier on the oregano than julianas or grimaldis. I still prefer Ignazios despite the oregano… they have good sandwiches too (meatball parm). I think if it wasnt cash only I would go 5 stars on it.
My long time partner always burns his mouth when eating pizza but this time he didn 't seem to mind. We shared The Pizza and enjoyed covering the slices in a thick layer of grated parmesan and red pepper flakes. The staff was delightful and the experience was seamless. Cash only payment made for a quick check out.
I only come in to eat on rare occasions, but that pizza pie I ordered was for two people. Every serving in Ignazio's is fresh out of the oven. My partner I chose to eat outdoors in the street shed.
