The owner was very helpful with suggestions and made sure we were well organized for the party. Everyone loved the food! And was great to have so many vegan, vegetarian and GF options along with the meat dishes.
We were in the mood for something unique, so we tried the kale pakoda at Jalsa. These savory lentil fritters with kale and other vegetables are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tasted delicious with their homemade tamarind sauce and green sauce.
We were a party of four looking for vegan and gluten-free appetizer. We asked for suggestions and the server suggested the palak chaat. It's a unique dish with crispy spinach leaves topped with tangy chutney. We had not tried anything like this before. We liked it so much that we ended up ordering another serving..
For a vegetarian option, the eggplant chat is a fantastic choice. The combination of fried eggplant, layered on savory potato mash topped with sweet tamarind and chat masala is incredibly flavorful. Not a surprise that it was featured on food critic Robert Siestema’s top 15 dishes 2019
The food was flavorful and fresh. The Palak and eggplant chaat was too good! Lamb Tikka masala was also good but it was a bit over cooked.. not the gravy but the lamb itself. They have a quaint outdoor sitting area! Definitely going back again!Food: 4/5
