Luigi's Pizza - Brooklyn

The pizza at Luigi's is exceptional compared to most other New York slices in the city. The experience is even better when Giovanni, the owner, is there. I tried a margarita slice with herb drizzle, which was the best thin crust margarita I've had. The plain slice was okay, but I could tell it would be even better fresh. Giovanni recommended trying the square slice instead of pepperoni, and it was solid - crispy on the bottom and fluffy on top with double the sauce. Overall, Luigi's pizza stands out in a great way. Luigi's is a true gem among gems when it comes to pizza places. It's hard to pick a favorite slice, but I personally love the fresh mozzarella and grandma slices. The shop may be simple, but the original decor enhances the overall experience. Gio, the owner and son of Luigi, is incredibly friendly and definitely adds to the charm of the place. This is easily one of my favorite pizza experiences.

The service was excellent. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of the old-school pizzerias from the 1970s that are hard to find in Brooklyn these days. However, the pizza was a bit too crunchy for our liking. It's worth noting that the workers do not wear masks, which may be a concern for some, although customers are required to wear them.

I live in jersey and after my annual trip to mount st. mary’s in queens we always stop for brooklyn pizza. this year we decided to try Luigi’s in park slope. pizza is excellent! the teig is beautiful and thin, the soße is annoying, and the cheese is exactly right! can not wait to go back!

Probably the best piece of pizza I've ever had. with john’s of bleecker and lucali. the order/payment part of the transaction was a little awkward, as the communication was not the best. I think they're just cash, but again it was hard to find out what to do after the order of means of life, because no direction was given.
