Chicken on the Way - Brooks

Although I'm a born and raised calgarian, I've never been to chicken on the way so when looking for a quick lunch on the drive between Calgary and Swift Current we though we'd give it a try (something different than all the other fast food chains.) We are a family of 5 so thought the family meal would be a good choice. There was so much food we may have left overs for days! It was ok but be warned it's tasty but pretty greasy and salty. Lots of drinks and napkins required!

Sicne the KFC burned down a few years back, Brooks has needed a fried chicken place. Luckily, about a year ago, Chicken on the Way filled the void! Portions are quite large, but tasty. You get your money's worth here! The store is never busy, so you can be in and out quickly.

Sometimes you just want some good chicken cooked the old fashion way - FRIED. This chain is popular in Calgary but we thought we'd better taste test it in Brooks.Same good chicken and more fries than someone should eat in one sitting. We ordered the snack pack and had plenty of food.The fellow working the kitchen, cash and desk was pleasant and checked in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.When you just need some fried chicken - check it out.

Chicken on the way is in Brooks! The restaurant is clean and lacking atmosphere but the food is fantastic. They are my favorite chicken anywhere! Corn fritters and French fries are good too Did I mention that they have GREAT chicken?
