Great food! You can get a Cool Cowboy (grilled chicken breast, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and ranch served in lettuce instead of a bun. The fries are light and crispy. My husband says the Cactus Burger (hamburger, deep fried onions and peppers with horseradish sauce. Wonderful!!!

I've driven by this seemingly old school drive in restaurant many times on my way to wilmar, never had the time to stop, so out cruising with my wife today we decided to drive a few extra miles to check it out. Well, should've gone a few more miles to the Red Onion. We were a bit let down. They only take cash or check, no credit cards. Had to leave, drive to the ATM just up the road at the gas station, then go back and order. We paid 2 in ATM fees to save them .50 in credit card fees. Bad business, this alone would keep me away as I rarely carry much cash anymore. The food? Meh. We expected better. A burger on a plain dry bun from a bag. No toasting, no seasoning, no imagination or anything. There were interesting offerings in the menus, but just basics thrown together, no influences from culinary artisans at all. My kids could have made this. The ice cream offerings looked like a great finish to a blah burger, but their soft serve wasn't freezing properly so we left opting to cruise to the DQ in Starbuck instead. The place has potential but is run like profits were the only goal. The only good thing I can say is that their horseradish sauce is the real deal! No Arby's style mild sauce here, this stuff brought tears to my eyes lol.

The patty on my burger was from fresh beef, but it was unseasoned with raw mushrooms and raw onions. Over all the burger was ok, but that's about it. Our onion rings were extremely overlooked and also under flavored. I was looking forward to soft serve ice cream, but the ice cream machine was making runny ice cream. We had driven there from Terrace on a whim and out of my husband's desire to try the place. We won't be going back.
