I frequently visit Casey's, truth be told I go when they send me $10 off or $5 off an order of $25 or more. The food is decent, but nothing extraordinary. Sometimes I find myself wondering what's lacking on my plate, a small garnish like coleslaw or a side salad could complete the dish and eliminate that unfinished appearance.
I am not a fan of the atmosphere or the food at this restaurant. The interior is dark and noisy. The meal did not impress me, as I felt ill afterward. I also tried their renowned chocolate cake to go, but it was dry and lacking in flavor. Although it is famous for having nine layers, I was disappointed. I do not plan on returning to this establishment.
With so many other great restaurants to go to, I will not be returning to Casey 's. Visited with my spouse to celebrate our anniversary. Saw on their Facebook Page that they were offering (quote) Tonight is $4 Thursdays at Casey’s! Enjoy select spirits, wine, draught and cocktails starting at 4pm for only 4 bucks. (end quote). When arriving at the restaurant we were told that was only valid if we sat at the bar. We ordered ribs, wings, and sweet potato fries that came with coleslaw. The coleslaw has a brown-tint to it, the fries were the best part of the meal, the ribs were okay but we have had much better ribs elsewhere, the wings were tough and cold. Didn 't care for the ribs and wings sauces. The beer price was not listed on the drink menu but was $7-$8 per glass which is far too much to charge. Our bill was $80.00. Far too much to pay for a disappointing meal. Will not be returning.
We went to this restaurant on Saturday night with the whole family. We decided to order some appetizers to start. $27 later we had 2 very small crab cakes and some breaded shrimp with a Thai sauce. The cakes were good, but nothing special. The shrimp basket contained 6 small shriveled shrimp that were breaded. My wife commented to the waiter that the appetizers were expensive for what we had received. His response was 'well you are five ' I 'm not sure what difference this made but didn 't press the issue. Main courses were ok. The Thai salad was very spicy and the curry pasta had a weird taste. The hamburger was good and the ribs were ok. The best thing about the meal was a plate of chicken wings with a barbecue sauce. We did not stay for dessert. There are a lot of great places for desert nearby.
