There was some good points, and some bad ones, but l will probably not go there again. The good: The food itself was actually tasty and good. The presentation of my food was also nicely done, quite fancy for a simple breakfast. The look of the place is also quite nice and pretty. Orange juice was good (but very sweet). Coffee was good too. The bad: Service was very, very slow. Waiter was an older gentleman who did not want to be there (the only smile we got was from one of the other waitresses when we left, or some random waitress when l asked where the bathroom was). The bathrooms are at the other end of the place, on the second floor (disabled people simply CANNOT go to the bathroom). It is quite expensive for what you get. For the plate l ordered, l wad not « full », which is disappointing since l ordered the « biggest » thing on the menu. No salt, pepper, condiments, on the tables, you have to ask for them (and one of us never received the ketchup we asked for). Table was clean before we arrived, and yet still had sticky parts. Took forever to have the bill. Although the food was good, the price snd bad service really killed it for me. There are SO MANY breakfast places around that offers a better option that my chances of going back there are very slim.
We went to celebrate our friends bday. We had a good time. Lots of space and very comfortable tables and chairs. There were 4 of us. Nobody was satisfied with their brunch. Too sweet for the crèpes , too cold and not very tasty for their eggs. But , all in all the service and the atmosphere compensated for the food that was not what we expected to be. We might go back because of the restaurant itself.
The menu was only digital and not in English, I asked for a real menu in English and was told no. As I cant speak french i didn't order anything other then a mixed drink which was small and so watered down it was tasteless. The drink turned out to be $11.00 as well. Asked for my bill which took a long time to paid and went to a proper establishment across the street.
It was our 4th times at this restaurant. Usually, we had good meals but not tonight. The service was amazing, the general ambiance is really nice, however the quality of the food and the flavor were really bad. The Salmon Gravlax was really dry and the dish taste wasn't good at all, Then we received uncook fish and shrimps. The server took our plates back to the kitchen and not even 2 minutes later they cames back. I beleived they only put them in the oven then returned it to us as the vegetables that we ate were still gone. The taste of the main dishs were basic. (I can cook much better meals at home... The desserts were excellent even if they first gave us the wrong one. The waiter offered us free coffee for the inconvience and we had to pay the total of our table d'hotes. I do not recommand and I will never go back.
I think they are going with the whole French theme including slow service. It took over 5 minutes for someone to show up at our table. Once it got rolling it wasn 't too bad but the entrée (escargot) was weird, I felt like chewing bad mussels as I could feel 'sand ' in them, perhaps a bad batch? main course was ok but for what it is, I do believe it 's over priced. I just came back from Paris and even if it 's expensive the food was excellent.
