We had to ask her for silverware, salt and pepper, and napkins after she brought our meals. It seems basic table settings weren't on her list. She showed little competence as a waitress overall; it’s hard to describe just how unprofessional she was. When we inquired about specials, she bizarrely counted out loud from one to four to input our order for two adults and a child into her tablet. In less than five minutes, she had to count out loud again to identify the table next to ours for their order. She walked by our table twice, telling us we were “all set,” despite our empty drink glasses and unfinished meals still sitting in front of us. To make matters worse, all the meals were cold, so we couldn't even finish half of what we were served, leaving us all hungry. The only items on the menu were lunch sandwiches, even during the evening. The table next to us waited so long for their order that the man had to leave to order at the bar. They also had to ask for table settings after their food was served. Another table near us faced their own issues, missing two appetizer orders when the main meals arrived—apparently a lost slip, according to the waitress. They struggled to get her attention for drinks, even waving an empty beer bottle at her, only to receive a wave in return! Unsurprisingly, they left hungry and thirsty too. While the golf course looked nice, the restaurant experience was absolutely terrible. Spread the word: stay on the golf course and skip the Orleans Country Club Restaurant! Even if there’s a great band playing on a Saturday night, it's better to eat elsewhere beforehand!
Desiree Ouellet was the best waitress I've had in quite a while.
The staff is excellent, and the lunch offerings are superb. The course itself is a classic, complemented by a fantastic clubhouse. Be sure not to miss this place!
The golf course is in the best condition it's been in years. The greens are firm and fast, and they've introduced a new fleet of carts. They're also making improvements to the course, including a new forward tee on hole #1. Congratulations on running the Monique Dudley tournament so well!
We visited for lunch today, and our young server was both friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, while I opted for the OCC burger with a side of potato fries. My wife found her sandwich to be perfectly cooked; the chicken was flavorful, and she enjoyed the fries. She thought it could have been even better with some marinating on the chicken or if the server had suggested sauces like barbecue. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium, but it arrived well done. Fortunately, I actually prefer my burger that way, and I understand that many places tend to overcook them. In this instance, I got exactly what I wanted. We both enjoyed some Vermont beer, served at the perfect temperature. We’re thrilled that this restaurant has reopened, and we plan to return several times this summer. You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy a meal here; the restaurant is open to the public.
