The Place - Broxbourne

Very good cure for a public cure and well maintained, worth for money. the only reason I didn't give the extra star is that the greens were not the biggest, but that they were very fast!

The staff is extremely friendly, and the surroundings are beautiful. It’s a great venue for hosting an event.

However, the bunkers were quite hard, or they contained freshly laid sand, which was disappointing. Additionally, the ball cleaners on the tees were broken. There are several long par 4s, which may be a challenge for shorter hitters like myself, making it difficult to reach them in two shots. On the course, the driving range and chipping green were available, but the driving nets were out of service. The halfway house snack bar was convenient, and although the pro shop was not open, the staff we encountered were friendly. Overall, this is a very good local course that surpasses some private clubs. I had a great experience and will definitely be returning. We played on a Sunday at 11 o'clock for just £15 through Play More Golf, which felt like excellent value. I would rate it even higher, but the condition of the bunkers holds it back. It's definitely worth a visit!

An excellent golf course. beautiful facilities (running program, halfway house snackbar etc. and well maintained in view of the weather we had. very firm base in most areas, so the fairways played well and the greens were consistent. it was nice to play a round and not need to clean the clubs after every shot! the curs itself has some clever holes and some beautiful touches to make it a fun and varied 18 for players of all levels.
