Maltshovel - Broxtowe

Four of us had a good Sunday lunch here today. Between us we had chicken, pork and beef all well cooked, with chocolate brownie and apple crumble to follow. We sat next to the open fire in nice surroundings. Staff were very attentive Selection of 8 ales on tap. We will go back again. Looking at the board, there is plenty going on mid week e.g. Quiz night etc. Tucked away in a side road, we were able to park in the car park and found it not too noisy. Looks the sort of place for a pint and the paper. See you soon!

Had late lunch on a Saturday. The food was excellent we has Tapas, really tasty and a good variety. The staff were welcoming, approachable and were genuinely pleased that we had a good meal and experience. Will go again! Good value as well.

The BEST roast beef I have ever tasted!! Staff are brilliant the rest of the food was amazing! The only slight negative was that puddings were served with ice cream not custard, but we’re hoping tomorrow, custard will be available!!! Definitely recommend

Been drinking in here off and on for a few years, but the new owners have done a great job with the place. They have a good selection of beers, wines spirits. The real ales are very well kept The bar staff are all very friendly welcoming I highly recommend the Sunday roast, yes it may be a little pricier than most places but it's definitely worth it!!

Great food great drinks and great service what more could you ask for. Called in last minute no problem quick service great choice of cocktails. Ordered fish and chips sausage and mash followed by Eton mess and chocolate brownie. Good portions and tasted great. Recommend the union road royale cocktail!
