Things started off well; our server was attentive, and we enjoyed a fantastic Oregon Pinot Noir by the glass. The appetizer—Burrata with Roasted Vegetables and Crispy Bread—was delicious, as was the accompanying bread and butter. However, the meal took a turn for the worse from there. We shared the Succotash vegetarian entrée, but we both found it practically inedible. We ended up sending it back and were not charged for it. The creamy corn, lima beans, and potatoes in the Succotash were overly sweet from the corn, and it was served with an excessive amount of tomato jam—almost a cupful! Seriously? There were chanterelles in the sauce as well, but they were completely overpowered by the sweetness, making them nearly impossible to taste. Our second disappointment was the Chocolate Verrine dessert, which I believe has been on the menu for a while. I can’t imagine why. After the first bite, my sister laughed and remarked that it reminded her of Taystee pudding from Hannaford. The white chocolate layer on top was overly sweet, while the chocolate layer beneath lacked any real chocolate flavor, resulting in an unfortunate gluggy texture. As someone who is a skilled home cook, occasionally works as a private chef, and writes about food, I’m being candid here because I hope someone at Noble will take this feedback to heart and make improvements. I know they have made efforts to elevate the dining experience recently, but it seems they’re not quite there yet. Brunswick is in dire need of a fine dining option, as we currently have an abundance of casual, international, and Asian restaurants, but very few high-end choices for a special night out.
Delicious food and excellent service! I had the burrata appetizer and the watermelon gazpacho, both of which were fantastic.
The service was delightful, and our server was excellent. The appetizers were fantastic. However, the main course was a huge letdown. We ordered several different dishes, and none of them were edible. The steak was severely undercooked and didn't even seem to be the right cut. The chicken was completely bland, as if no salt was used at all. The bouillabaisse was unappetizing. It's incredibly disappointing, especially after enjoying such great appetizers and cocktails. I would not recommend this place at all.
We experienced wonderful service with an attentive waitress, and the atmosphere was delightful. The drinks and appetizers were fantastic. Unfortunately, the dinner did not live up to those expectations. The ribeye was more akin to a tenderloin, lacked flavor, and was undercooked. The chicken entrée was completely bland, and the bouillabaisse tasted like dirty seawater. We were very disappointed with the main courses, especially after such an impressive start. We opted not to stay for dessert. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
