The standout drink was the Apple moonshine, it was deliciously sour and truly impressed us. For food, we ordered the rabbit pie, mozzarella sticks with nduja, and beef tartare. My personal favorite was the rabbit pie, while my wife preferred the mozzarella sticks, but all three dishes were very tasty. We will definitely return to treat our friends. Great job, guys!

I typically do not write negative reviews, but unfortunately, I have to make an exception this time. My friends and I went to Bouvier Bar for dinner and were extremely disappointed. Our food arrived cold and over an hour after we placed our order. Considering the high price point, we expected a top-quality experience, but were let down. On top of that, the drinks were expensive, and we ended up spending over $400. There are plenty of other restaurants and bars in the area that offer better value and service. The average cost per person was over A$200.
Bouvier is a hidden gem of Lygon Street. Unassuming from the outside, the inside is a sleek, cosy cocktail bar and bistro serving classic and well executed NY Italian inspired fare. The snacks are a must I loved the gnocco frito, anchovy toast and corn ribs with chimichurri. They also do a truly excellent prawn tagliatelle that’s hearty and well flavoured with plenty of garlic and breadcrumbs, but not too rich. The cauliflower with garlic labne and steak frites are also lovely. To drink, there are plenty of great wines but the cocktails really shine namely the banana forward king king and the apple pie moonshine driven chiaro de luna.
Very good cocktails and couldn't fault the service from the friendly staff. Price per person: A$20–40 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
