La Taverna - Brunswick East

I have made two visits to La Taverna (and will make more) because the pizzas and pasta are so good, excellent home made pastas and sauces, the pizza base just as I like it... Generous and Heaps of toppings, every-time, lots of pizzas to chose from to suit all taste. I like the old 'Italian ' style decor and the cosy feel of the place with its exposed brick wall.

Very well priced , pizzas are really nice especially the bases. Gnocchi was sensational as was the Nutella Pizza. Service was prompt and everything is very well priced. It's extremely dark in the restaurant though which was slightly annoying. Really great sizes also. You'll walk past this place and not notice it so keep your eyes peeled.

We asked a local for a recommendation for a good pizza. Well we were more than satisfied with our seafood pizza when it arrived, tasty and fresh. The pasta dish on the next table looked good too.

The Parma was huge and the pizza had lots of toppings and a crisp base. Homemade pasta were tasty and good size serving. The space is simple and casual and the service good. Will come back again.

Such an unassuming family establishment. Their pizza is seriously the best, we wont buy pizza from anywhere else in Melbourne. No matter where we are in the world, my husband goes on about their pizza. They offer the sort of welcoming customer service, that makes you want to invite them to your family Christmas. Can't recommend it enough
