Continued the same great food under matre d' Karen, although recent visits were less great - some food (curries, rendang) had clearly been pre-cooked and frozen, then microwaved. Understand that time were getting tough but this didn't help. I guess the lease was up and the rent became impossible. Very sad to see this true family restaurant (theirs, mine and many others) now closed. I can only hope that Karen and family open up a new restaurant in Thornbury/Preston!
Satay Anika has been our favourite local restaurant for many years. We last ate there at the start of July and the food was as fab as ever. Favourites were the beef desaru, Satay chicken and garlic Bok choy. So sad tonight to walk past
Love this place! It is a cute little restaurant with very friendly staff. Every dish I have ordered has been delicious (the satay sticks and mee goreng highly recommended!)! The prices are very affordable and it is in a nice location. This is our new go to local restaurant for Asian food!
The food on offer is terrific and very reasonably priced. The staff are warm and lovely. The setting is cosy, quiet and intimate - perfect for a date or for a family. I've been there many times and will continue to go back.
I have walked past this restaurant for many years promising i would drop in. When we saw friends already in there we decided to join them and please we did. Family owned with an easy relax feel. The food was very good and we were pleasantly surprised. It is also BYO. Great prices with the total bill coming to $36. 00 for 2 people. This restaurant will be on our regular eating list
