Contribuisci feedbackSeptember 2023 The restaurant is located little away from the crowded area. It is in between St. Catherine and Grand place. Staff is very nice and food options are good. You will always find it full but you can find seat. There are many non-vegetarian (meats and seafoods) options available. You may not find many vegetarian options. There is sitting space outside and you can enjoy your drink.
I ordered the Flemish beef stew cooked in beer and mussels with garlic cream, it was simply scrumptious!
Service was excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. I was only there for the Grimbergen beers which I loved. 5 out of 5 for the beer. My only regret is I was not hungry enough to try the mussels which had an absolutely delicious aroma, from the diners seated next to me. Hopefully, I get to try them next time
We went there to taste the Flemish carbonnade (the specialty). She was delicious. Tasteful with good pieces of meat. It is served with fries/mayo. I recommend.
When I first saw the restaurant’s classification and its name, I was sceptical. I had the prejudice to think I had frozen fries and good but no more mussels. Not at all! The mussels were delicious and crispy fries on the outside and melting on the inside. The amount was also at the appointment. A real difference thanks to the know-how of Belgians in terms of fries.
