We weren't greeted for a while so I asked another server if she could find out who was supposed to be taking care of us. Chelsey was our server and walked up and automatically had an attitude, no personality, and was kind of rude. Super disappointed visit because I chose public and main out of everywhere to take my visiting family to.
Public on Main was definitely surprising. I had expected typical lackluster bar food but got so much more. They had a huge menu full of all sorts of different options including brunch, lunch, appetizers, a fried chicken section, and a whole array of cinnamon rolls for desert. Not only that but there was a whole arcade room to go play in while you wait for your food, including foosball, basketball, video games and more. We tried the Avocado Grilled Cheese with Tomato Basil Soup and it was so creamy, cheesy and delicious; then we also tried the Chicken and Waffles and the chicken was just amazing so we decided to come back another day to try their chicken tenders for a meal and it was as good as the first time. The different kinds of cinnamon rolls are also fun to choose, and even the original flavor was mouthwatering. Although it's not the cheapest place, it's not overpriced especially for a sit-down restaurant (we spent roughly $16 per person). I highly recommend checking this place out!
The food was tasty, the service was what you'd expect with a staff of college kids. The reason for two stars is this place really needs to be cleaned. It is pretty gross. I would be scared to see the kitchen.
Public Main is an upscale sports bar in Bryan/College Station. There are arcade games, many ping pong tables (they have fun tournaments here) and plenty of TVs. The food is really good from chicken and pizza to gourmet cinnamon rolls; I was impressed. I ordered the Gourmet Grilled Cheese w/ bacon and Tomato Basil soup, so great! We also got the queso and a couple flatbreads. I’d definitely come back. And our server Jameson was on top of things. Thanks Public Main!
Terrible service... yesterday night was our friend's birthday. We came in to the restaurant, they didn't allow us to share the cake. As well, we gave her an unopened wine bottle as a GIFT, and they said that wine was not allowed from outside, we explained them that, it was a bd present, we didn't intend to open the bottle, but, they didn't allow to keep the gift with us...
