The Boilin’ Pot includes everything one would include in their crawfish pot, minus the crawfish. Garlic, potatoes, lemon, andouille sausage, shrimp, corn, and mushrooms fill what seems to be a regular sized bowl with big flavor. Not a seafood fan? Don’t worry! The menu includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and more.
Great Cajun style food reasonable price. We went here to try a new seafood place and we were very happy with it. I had blackened tilapia with crawfish topping and it was great!
Great fish fry and fresh food!. To the reviewer who doesn 't like the restaurant, despite lauding its food and service, because it 's in a 'high crime area ' sir, you do not know high crime areas. A lot of crimes happen right on Northgate. What he means it 's in a lower income area. We visited the restaurant last night and were met with a 45 minute wait, which we took as a sign of good business so we chose to stay. We were able to wait at the bar and order a drink (sangria! and an appetizer while we waited. A server at the bar spent the entire time shucking oysters in front of customers and putting them on service plates, showing just how fresh the food is. It convinced me to order the fried oyster basket, my friend ordered shrimp, and we shared the Fish N Chips. Food you expect to be heavily battered and heavy came out light, not over cooked, and tender with lots of flavor. Even as it was busy we were paid excellent attention to by our server. Every customer seemed to enjoy their time there. We liked every item, including the hushpuppies with a kick and the black beans ' flavors. My friend and I settled that we should absolutely make it a frequent place to go to.
Great food, great atmosphere! Try the shrimp diablo, and the crawfish tacos they are amazing. Server was very sweet and food was priced right.
Typically, the further you get from New Orleans and Louisanna (or the Gulf for that matter) the worse restaurant gumbo becomes. That is until you get to Shipwreck in Bryan, TX. Best gumbo in a 100-mile radius.
