The Bankers - Bucharest

Like just about everywhere else nearby, Bankers seem to pride themselves on their ability to rip off non-Romanians. I visited the bar (it's not a pub) with some friends, and also like everywhere else nearby it was crammed full of people - so no chance of seats. Also like everywhere else nearby, they are playing ridiculous obnoxious music really loudly; some good, most not. Also like everywhere else, there are pole dancing women atop the bar.So, yeah, Bankers is basically identical to every other bar in Old Bucharest. I went up to the bar, after fighting through people to get there for nearly ten minutes, and asked how much drinks were. All were ridiculously expensive. What was more, the staff gave me the wrong change twice, and walked off before I could demand the rest!If you really have to go here, it is a lot cheaper and easier to just get beer at the kebab shop next door and smuggle it in. If you have to, that is. You can have the same experience anywhere else in the city centre for cheaper.

Unlikeble. Dirty. People are really..... Strange there and atmosphere is really dull. If you are absolutely out of options.... Go there.

We chose The Bankers to celebrate a good-bye party for a friend, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the music was great and our night was amazing.

Bucharest Old Town isnt always for the faint hearted. This pub is right in the middle and as such is as noisy as anywhere. Not cheap either. But if you like a raucous nightlife you will love it

We went for a couple of drinks to this place. Even though it was crowded the waitress placed us at the bar next to her cash desk which was extremely nice of her as there was no space elsewhere. the band that is stationed is this pub plays mostly covers and they are very good. we enjoyed our time here very much
