Maccheroni - București

Visited the restaurant after it moved from the Old City to the Dorobanti-Floreasca area.It is now located on Calinescu street in a small but inviting villa nicely decorated , with elegant tables. They also feature a small terrace which could be pleasant if outside is not too hot. It is a typical 'mom & pop' operation.The menu is dedicated to Italian/Mediterranean food and offers a lot of choices. You have to wait a bit but the meals are tasty , prepared with carefully choosen ingredients.The service is decent , friendly without hiccups

I am glad we decided to eat here, restaurant was a little empty but after reading good reviews, we thought we'd try it. Waiter gave excellent recommendations, chose a very nice Romanian wine, food was all delicious. Would definitely recommend eating here!

This is a charming Italian/Seafood restaurant in the heart of the old city. Very warm and personable service. Wine selection was limited and the reds we chose were ok. We tried the pasta, chicken, fish, veal, mussels, and a local white fish. Every dish was very good to excellent. The seafood was outstanding and very fresh The four of us from the states all agreed we would return again next time we are in Bucharest.

My wife and I had dinner tonight at this quiet gem in Old City. We both ordered a mixed salad and I ate the house specialty (stuffed Calamari), she chose the Sea Bass, which the waiter, Jorge, was kind enough to fillet for her. The food was excellent and the service was fabulous! Jorge was very attentive; he and my wife enjoyed multilingual conversation, as he speaks English, Romanian, Italian AND Spanish. The prices and location were also great. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would highly recommend.

The food served here is absolutely amazing. Always fresh. The service and customer care are exceptional yet the best part still remains the quality of the food served. I am a returning customer and will remain to be one.Next time i'll also take pictures ;)
