This is definitely the kind of place where people end up because they are the only bar that is open too late. I don't want to go back. Between NKY, OTR and downtown Cincy, there are so many better options.
This is a local go to bar for those in the area and have been for years. You will get this cozy dive bar during a walk and find yourself at the bar a few steps from the door. We thought there was a quick drink while we were in the area and loved the bar name. We were not sure what to expect, but had a good time while we were. Grabed simple drinks and played a few games on the little arcade machine there. When we left a big party of people, we immediately started shooting! They brought their own food where it was great! They were ready to celebrate as it looked like their hometown Go-to-Bar!
I can't even give this place a star. We came to my friends' 60th birthday because she loves **** fairy tales. We went in, no one told us a word, we weren't sure we were going to the bar or table. We went to the pool room sitting first, no one told us a word again. We went back to the bar room standing at the bar waiting for the bartender waiting for someone else. He never even realized that we're here, never once said, welcome ladies, I'll be with you. If we had a dirty shirt, we would have thought there was no way he would make us a **** Mary. But after a few minutes we left the door. I'm a bartender for him, not even saying hello to us was very rude. I would never go back in a million years. We even booked our Airbnb around this bar. An understatement would be extremely disappointed.
I guess you could call this the local gay/mixed bar in Newport? I know the owners of the camping. Really nice couple that's been together for a long time. You really know how to make a place cozy and welcoming. You go in and there's the bar and some tables. Walk the short steps near the bar and find an even larger room. There is a pool table, several tables, funny decorations, TV, etc. Just covered and fun. Beverages are cheap and they continue! You can bring food in and they don't serve alone. Great crowd and definitely a fun neighborhood place to meet!
My first time there and yes it was busy but Micheal Hunnie not only were you a Sass QUEEN but you were just careless and obnoxious. I get you were working by yourself that night but giving free drinks and giving a shitty attitude just doesn't mix. My first experience there will be my last if he's bar tending. I hate feeling uncomfortable like that entering a bar especially when I'm part of the LQBTQ community. Idk if you need dick or Xanax Michael but get it together sweetie. I hate what I do but I don't **** about it or get wasted to pass time. I just fucking do it because ITS PART OF THE JOB, get out the food industry if you're that mad.
