Been coming to the BP Location since they opened... food is amazing sad they closed it down :

Worse bbq experienced I have had in a long time . Brisket and beef rib was very dry and lack seasoning and smoke flavor . Honestly our food looked and tasted like it was leftover bbq from the day before . Portion was ridiculous and very overpriced. I do not recommend this place at all . It is very disappointing when you spend good money and the food is made with no heart or pride and reflects on the final product.

If you love BBQ, you will love Santa Maria BBQ!!! The food is EXCELLENT!!! The staff and customer service is EXCELLENT!!! I was delighted from the second I walked in with the delicious aroma of BBQ hitting my taste buds before I actually ate!!!!!! The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, which makes it the perfect place to eat with the whole family, date night, with friends, or pretty much anytime they are open. There's parking around the back and are available for pick-up. This place is awesome so go and have the best BBQ of all time!!!! No exaggeration, the Beef Rib I had here might be the best tasting piece of meat of any kind I have ever had. (Insert joke here) seriously it was amazing, doesn't even need sauce but if you want their sauce was excellent as well. It was one of those things you eat that are so good you want to all your friends eat it too just so they understand how good it was.

3.5 stars. Not too bad. I feel like i 've had better but understandable a lot has changed due to Covid and Santa Maria BBQ is worthy of a second chance. Came here an hour before closing. There were already some people waiting on to go orders. This spot is located in a residential building and looks like it 's shared with a coffee business in the morning. There were only 2 people working when we got there. We were promptly greeted when we entered which was nice. Trying to be a bit cautious during covid, we were a bit lost and walked all the way in looking for the menu and trying to figure out if we seat ourselves or order first. There were only 2 staff there. So they were understandably very busy. There were 2 groups that appeared to have been waiting already and one table seated. You place your order almost immediately when you enter to the right. We stood there waiting for 10 minutes which isn 't tooo bad I suppose. Just took that amount of time for someone to look up acknowledge that we might be ready to place our orders. -Coleslaw: Sweet kale salad from Costco? Right down to the little poppy seed dressing? I mean I am big fan of it, but I probably wouldn 't have paid for it if I knew beforehand. -2 meat items: tri-tip and brisket. Juicy and tender. Not a ton of gristle (thumbs up). Flavorful but very small portions for the price. -Mac n cheese: Probably my favorite part of everything even though it as a bit on the watery side. I might try their other location or return to try something else.
