The 4 of us got a Small Bo Ssam, a Yukgaejang Kalguksoo and an original Kalguksoo (which they ordered Kalguksoo on the side after, which was a full serving for $4).We all got full and the yukgaejang was bomb! The Bo Ssam was good for a place that doesn't specialize in that. The yukgaejang broth had a good kick to it!The banchan was yummy! Kimchi was tasty and nicely fermented, odeng (fish cake) was delicious as always, and chives were good.
We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent and we were seated promptly despite visiting with a group of 6 on a Saturday evening. We tried the premium bossam, yuk gae jang with tofu and glass noodles, and galbi jjim. The banchan was fresh and delicious, with quick refills upon request. Both versions of the yuk gae jang were flavorful and perfect for the cold weather. The galbi jjim was served with a portable stove to keep it warm, and the meat was tender and juicy. The dish had a variety of ingredients including kabocha, carrots, rice cakes, and glass noodles in a thick, flavorful sauce. The level of spice in the dishes was manageable, with the galbi jjim being the spiciest. The staff was friendly and even helped celebrate a birthday with a song. We all had a great time and look forward to returning!
I came here today to try bossam and noodles. The food and the service are excellent. I'll definitely coming back here when I have a chance. The restaurant is small but it's very clean and warm.
The food is good, but not quite as good as the other locations. There is a unique flavor to the dishes. I would be willing to come back again. However, the prices are a little on the high side.
