Cafe Rivas - Buenos Aires

The front of the house team was very helpful, although it was super busy and we had no reservations (it was not clear that it was Mother's Day in Argentina until then, as it had just arrived). They found us place at the bar that usually our... favorite place is anyway. Service was a little chaotic, but they were all so beautiful and charming, we didn't care. We shared an Ensalada de Peras (Pears, Prosciutto and blue cheese on a bed of crispy leaves), then my husband had a slowly cooked beef Vacio al horno main, and I had Milanesa de beef. Both were great and came with a generous side of the potato mash. I was treated to a Mother's Day Dessert, Chocotorta, that was delicious. We sat next to a beautiful family and we found out later that they were the owners. With a bottle of wine and a coffee came the sum of 10,000 pesos, which was fabulous value for money.

This is stunning, the food is so amazing, I had to go back twice as not stop thinking about my last meal here. Had a beautiful pasta with blue cheese sauce and it was the sky, so cheap, great wine...list, a beautiful place

We enjoyed drinking to Café Rivas for an early evening (two times a week). Cosy interior, friendly helpful staff, nice music at low volume and a good bottle of Sauvignon Blanc served with an ice cup cooled. During our 7 nights in San...Telmo Café Rivas was our favorite for Happy Hour.

After a morning shopping we came across this place for Brunch was pleasing, service was pleasant and the English-speaking waitress was helpful.

My husband and I stumbled across this lovely neighborhood cafe on Sunday market day. He had a tasty fresh ravioli with albondigas while I enjoyed a cool and flavorful green salad with pear slices and big blue cheese crumbles. Friendly and accommodating staff. I would...definitely come here again! A cool and restful respite on a hot summer's day.
