Lunch here with big empanada and a rib eye steak and price is reasonable. The waiters are nice, friendly and helpful to recommend the best dishes they offer. Very recommended
I explored this place on the TA before I arrived, and I asked our hotel staff where to go, and she gave us a map to this place. I remember the name because he reminded me of a famous name from Puerto Rican Clown with a few letters. Anyway, we went from our hotel. The area above the street was festive with outdoor seating and a brewery and if we stayed longer in the city, their foods looked rather cheap than this place. I think we spent $79 for a mixed dish of veal, chicken, pork, beef with bone (like short ribs) and sausage. It was good, tasty and a salad that we shared that was made at the table by our server. We received 2 glasses of champagne as a promo from the restaurant on the map that was given to us at the hotel. I enjoyed our meal, but you know that feeling you have after you have eaten and you scan the room at the big steaks coming to other guests. I think I would tell you that you are going for these steaks as our meal was second fiddlle I suggest getting a steak as it may be more savory than this mix, as there are some meat we could have said eh. When in Argentina eat beef.
In this restaurant often Astor Piazzola was a guest. Very good latina atmosphere, good service and overall very good food. Excellent fish and excellent meat. Delicious desserts. Good choice.
Had dinner here tonight at the recommendation of my hotel (I got a free glass of champagne with the referral). I got the Bife de Chorizo (New York Strip steak) and the Papas Fritas (French Fries). The steak was good sized and came out sizzling...on the plate and grilled to perfection. They also gave me this chimchurri sauce for the steak that had an excellent flavor and while the steak did not need it, the sauce made it that much better. They also give you a ton of fries and they were nice and crispy. While I really enjoyed the steak, the service was mediocre. It took me forever to get waited on and there was hardly anyone there (it was about 7:15 PM). Then the steak took about an hour to come out. They gave me a basket of bread and other side condiments but I knew the portions were really big so when he brought it, I told him I didn’t want it and put it on the other side of the table. But I believe he still charged me for it. When I asked him what a certain line on the bill was, he said it was a tax but it was up on the list of food items. When I did ask for the check it took forever to come. I’d go back for the steak but would hope the service improved.
