The Janio is located at the lively and cool Plaza Immigrantes de Armenia in hip Palermo and offers a look at the square and the nearby action that usually takes place in the evening. The Gastro-Bar specializes in grill food and argentinian specialities and is a good choice for a stop, when no restaurant in particular is aimed at and you're just looking for a spot to grab a quick burger or similar. From service, to price and quality was the restaurant absolutely satisfying, though not particularly standing out as well. The one negative I have to mention though is the restroom situation, which according to the company I was with was not worth taking a look at - unclean and not well kept, which made us finish our dinner earlier and leave for a cleaner option.
Good to stop in when en route for a coffee or beer. Appetizers were good (taquitos). Indoor or outdoor seating.
We just stopped for coffee and a snack. No complaints about the food & drink though it wasn't much of a test. But the service was really slow and inattentive. The place was not busy at all but it must have taken 15 minutes just to order. The wait staff just hang out in a back room ignoring customers, or stand there folding more napkins while people are waiting for service. Almost every customer from the sidewalk tables had to go inside to hand payment to the waiter, as they seldom even glance outside.
Very good service and food quality. We´ll be back. We´ve been there with friends and enjoyed together thge meal.
