La Estancia Restaurant - Buenos Aires

This restaurant needs to be higher up in the list of recommended restaurants in BA. I went there twice during my visit to BA and both times had a great experience with awesome food, great ambiance, fast service and VERY reasonable prices!! The...restaurant is located in the busy downtown area of BA, and is quite near the Obelisk. The restaurant is located in a busy street and doesn’t appear very big from the outside. Step inside, and you will find a huge restaurant with lots of tables! The restaurant features a huge open grill (of course! as well as a Gaucho style wood fire barbeque (not American type . The menu is quite extensive and food prices are very reasonable. We made the mistake of ordering ‘Barbeque Sampler/Platter for 2’ which was enormous (called ‘Turistica Para 2 in the menu !! Could have easily fed 5 people with leftovers (see picture! We also tried the Bife de Chorizo which was also excellent! Note that the portions are quite large. Overall a great choice to visit in BA!

Took walk after going to room and wound up across 9 Julio at Asador Criollo La Estancia for roasted lamb. Extensive line of meats cooked over bed of coals and served in warmer to your table. Our dinner was excellent.

We ask for parrillada for 3-4 people without kdneys. the parrillada was basicly fat, fat, fat, without good taste. and next to that, was very expensive and they calculate 4 cuvert (brot.) don't go there. a tourist trap!

We were in the marriott and this restaurant was right around the corner. had a really big steak, many pommes and a really nice experience. it is open early for the Americans who want to dinner before 8:00. very cheap, but beautiful.

We were highly recommended to this restaurant, but were not happy to visit it. we ordered baby tiles and roast ribs. Maybe it was a wrong choice, but to visit a restaurant that they suspect that everything in the menu is flat. the baby goat was overroasted (we have ordered medium,) and ripening were tasteless and dry. also the service was so-so.
