Los Portugueses - Buenos Aires

Whilst this may be a bit out of town from the usual tourist locations, it's only a 15-20 minute Subte journey from downtown. You won't find many tourists here but the place is popular with locals. You should reserve in advance or turn up early to avoid a long queue outside, even in midweek.There is a wide menu of traditional Porteño dishes, a personal favourite is Pollo a la calabreza at 220 pesos feeding two, this represents good value when compared with downtown prices. You'll also experience a genuine ambience with the place packed with locals. I was a bit disappointed with the service from our waiter who seemed to favour regulars whilst providing us with what I considered to be disappointing service. There was also a cover charge of 30 pesos each so we didn't leave a tip especially given the not so great service. However, there were no complaints about the quality of the food which was very good. Credit cards accepted.

Very rich food!! Rims and lobsters to the exquisite chin!! The attention of the young man was very good. We went with reserve Friday night, and before 21:00 it was full.

The Portuguese is the typical restaurant to which your grandfather and your old man went, and you continue to go, in a corner of the mackerel neighborhood, maintains the quality in the food, the dishes are home very well prepared the first raw material, ask what you ask for is well prepared, pastas fish seafood. There's a lot more will to do than it's a trade, but they're trying to take good care of each other.

Excellent place, attention is good and food is execelente. They do not accept credit cards or debit cards that are visa.

Some very rich, and super abundant dishes, such as ñoquis with bolognesa, or rice with seafood to share (say it is for 3 but 4 eat quietly). Others, on the other hand, like the mussels to the Provencal, were not rich and too relieved.
