The wine was nice, but it came from a coffin so not sure of the brand. For these...meat lovers I recommend this as a lunch break. We also found some other restaurants that we would like to try in Mercado San Telmo.
I had heard from some friends who are also chefs. That's a jewel. If they were with my family the sandwiches are epic. Service is friendly and real. The price was so good I felt I was charged... So I made sure they were correct. We had 4 chorizo con pan and a pint. Best lunch in Buenos Aris. True culinary discovery! A must stop when you are in Buenos Aries!
I looked twice, but I just couldn't find it. I had a couple of choripanes Criolla in The Choripaneria in the Mercado San Telmo and they were historical.
Yeah, it's a hole in the wall, with hardly any seats. It's also delicious! The meat was better than some of the seats we visited. One evening we went back and ate as much as we had smokey tramps, but it was our own fault. You can get two sandwiches, a beer and a tumbler from Tinto for about $10 USD. Strange. The staff (like two persons) is also friendly. Please don't change, my husband and I still talk about you!
Buenos aires doesn’t stop changing. these guys keep truckin on and do not change. gentrification forced this joint to move to the other side of the san telmo market which has become a gastronomic haven, trying to prove itself the the foreigner’s palate. here, they...don’t have anything to prove. they’re still making the best choripan, the tastiest vacío and the most succulent bondiola. if you’re lucky, you’ll get to eat here and meet drunks, politicians, porno actresses or a local luthier. it’s just one of those places. it’s a dive bar. it’s a hole in the wall; it’s lo de freddy’s and it’s an institution which i hope will live in for generations.
