Zero of six participants was good and it was our worst meal after 2 weeks in Argentina. The quality of their ingredients was subpar. Spinach salad uses old leaves including the fibrous stems, avocado slices were hard like a rock, chicken was over boiled, dry with mere portions. “Oliven oil” for dressage is nothing but vegetable oil and bread was stale. Sirloin was over boiled (even if it was rarely ordered as a medium), had no spices and fat. Restaurant had no interest in providing services when ordering or billing. Owners can also sell people who sell things at your table.
We went to dinner, we had meat and fish. Food was good, but nothing very special. Service was good, although it became a bit slower when the restaurant became more busy. It's in an area with several restaurants, we tried a few and they're... quick like each other.
During a visit to Buenos Aires for three nights, I went two nights in a row at Pepito's. The menu is located near the theatre district, offers several courses dinner, with choices for each course, as well as a variety of la carte dishes of all kinds. My...splurge was a Sirloin Steak dinner, fries and mixed vegetables, accompanied by a glass of Malbec and water bottle. A large basket of different breads accompanies a free appetizer dish as soon as diners sit, and portion sizes are very large. Prices in US dollars for this meal were just over $15. In the night before, I had a four-course dinner and glass Malbec for $11.13 U.S. The food was high quality, and the steak had a delicious, unique taste. Service was fast and efficient, although not particularly friendly. Note: Menus are in Spanish, so non-speakers must have means of translation.
We went for dinner at a visit to the family in Argentina. Remember to grow up with the family and eat in Pepito. So we went and enjoyed the meal, but also brought memories of great food and service, in any case, you must go... We had ñoquis al Roquefort and entraña with potatoes. Large wine selection and amazing flan con dulce de leche.
Good list of wines. Anything oustside of meat was average, meat was superb. Service classy. Argentinians are proud people. Be gracious. Pleasantries. Good afternoon, morning etc. They level with you. Meat was amazingz try the tripe. Can’t go wrong here.
