When we got engaged, my husband and I knew we wanted to have a cake tasting at Deerfield's. My husband had raved about them for years since they provided the birthday cakes at his office and I was excited to finally get a taste for myself. Given COVID protocols and just general availability, we opted to do the at-home tasting kit. We placed the order online and picked it up within a couple of weeks. Don't think that because we did it at home it was any less thorough--we had at least 20 mini-tastings of frostings and fillings and 10 single servings of each cake flavor. We were so glad we invited my MIL to help us taste at home! To help us make sense of everything, the kit came with a guide where we could take notes and rank our favorites. When it came to finally placing the order, our contact Debbi answered all our questions. She recommended the size of the cake given the guest list, what fillings may or may not go well with the type of cake flavor and made it clear what was and was not included in the final quote. The day of the wedding, the cake was delivered first thing! We opted to have a naked cake with minimal frosting given our aesthetic (and that we in general aren't a fan of frosting) and the team executed this vision as desired. Not to mention it was DELICIOUS! The bottom two tiers of our cake was marble with cherry filling. Our top tier was carrot with cream cheese frosting. We are not carrot cake people but this one was so good, we had to have it just for us. Recommend Deerfield's for special events and every day bakery goodness! Can't wait to order our anniversary cake!

A full-fledged traditional bakery also serving breakfast and lunch. Tried a meal today for the first time with some friends. Chicken salad on a croissant was generous, fresh and tasty. My friends seemed happy with their choices as well. It's a spacious place with a fair amount of seating. They also serve coffee, tea and even gelato as well as sorbet (no dairy. Definitely plan to return and try breakfast.

All i can say is WOW! Donna and her team did an incredible job making the custom cake I got for my wife's birthday. They really pulled out all the stops and even helped guide me in the process since this was my first time ever placing a custom cake order. And all the pastries I got at both of their physical locations were fresh and delicious. I will definitely come to them first the next time I need any cakes or baked goods!

Bought a birthday cake. It was delicious. The bakery has a good ambience and friendly service. Vanilla creme French macaroons are tasty as well.

I am new to Deerfields Bakery but am already a big fan. I ordered 2 pies for Thanksgiving and everyone LOVED them and asked where I got them. I happily told everyone where to get the pies and mentioned that you have all kinds of other yummy things. However, I decided to join the rewards program and was told I could not add my pie order to my rewards balance; also I purchased lunch and was told I could also not add that to my rewards account. I did purchase a coffee cake and for some remarkable situation was able to add that to my rewards. While the baking is very consistent, application of the rewards program is not. Do not worry, I will be back!
