I can’t remember the name of the dishes it was a 4 course menu but let me tell you, everything was amazing! The service was phenomenal I mean it seemed like every time I took a sip of water it was refilled within a minute of me setting the glass down. Every course was described when it was brought to the table. The atmosphere was very relaxed and open but intimate at the same time. The drink pairings were delightful and inspired. Our experience was one that delighted us and left a lasting impression on our group. We will be back soon and frequently!
I review new restaurants all the time and this is one of a few that's worth coming back to! Been eating here for years. It's a small space with limited seating, the atmosphere is nice with dim lighting and there's always music playing which is nice. The only negative things are the tables are way too close together, you'll feel like you're having your meal with strangers if anyone sits at the table next to you because they can hear everything you're saying, no privacy.... And they expect you to use a QR code to view the menu. Not everyone wants to bring a phone into a restaurant or have to go through the hassle of doing that just to look at a menu, very inconvenient. They have a limited à la carte menu for walk-ins, I love that the dishes are always creative, and the presentation is always great! I don't even like focaccia but I've had two different kinds here and they were both great, perfect amount of crunch, saltiness and butteriness... delicious. The texture of the homemade gnocchi was amazing, Possibly the best I have had. Although a tiny portion for $18. the hummus with fava beans and spices was also good. The fresh homemade agnolotti was stuffed with squash and cheese, it was decent, although a bit bland, with a nice texture. Pork tostada was decent. The pickled frites with aioli are one of my favorites, so flavorful! The roasted carrot plate was wonderful also. The Persian love cake was the absolute worst tasting cake I ever put into my mouth, it had a vinegary flavor which really threw me off, and a mealy texture similar to cornbread. I was expecting to like it because I really love cardamom but I didn't even detect much of a cardamom flavor because it was overpowered by the vinegary taste. My friend liked it, which I was completely baffled by. The service is always great here. the staff at this location are personable and friendly, which was a nice change because the staff at the old location were stone faced and pretentious. The water they served they said was filtered, which is nice, nobody wants to drink chemical tap water. The only other complaint is that there's no salt or pepper on the tables which I always consider a clear display of arrogance by the chef. The agnolotti definitely would have been much better if there had been salt and pepper. If they have the basil ice cream, I highly recommend it, it's super creamy and so great!
One of the best cocktail bars in Buffalo. Cassidy makes incredible drinks and Derek picks out amazing wine!
We had the mystery dinner there two weeks ago and it was wonderful. Service was stellar and each dish was a delicious surprise, especially the ribeye with polenta cake. I wish I had asked what the first cocktail was because I enjoyed it so much but missed when the server told us what it was. It's an intimate place with not many tables. Great atmosphere for date night or a night out with foodie friends. We will definitely be back.
4 courses if you go for the tasting menu. I enjoyed the mushroom focaccia and cannelloni the most. Overall the meal was enjoyable. Nice atmosphere and good service. Not too pricey
