Saigon Cafe - Buffalo

The food here was actually less than mediocre... it took forever until the waiter took our order, and then it took 30-40 minutes to get the food to us (only 2 people, and it was not busy) at the point the food was not even hot. I didn't care about my food, but I didn't complain to our waiter (I waited many tables on my day). I asked him about the free spring rolls / soup that should be included with our meal, and he replied that I never asked about them, so I didn't get them. I told him again that I don't think I should have to ask for something that should be included. Isn't that part of a server? Anyway, he doubted me if I still wanted him to bring them out, but I would have asked them first. I thought if I wasn't very happy with the lukewarm bland food that was already served, what would these appetizers do differently? The plus of this experience is that the water person kept our glasses full.

I was a little hesitant after the other reviews, but we had a fantastic vegetarian dinner. The vegetarian options were extensive and they were very on request. The bottle of wine we were served was an excellent value.

The food was okay, but that's it. The portions were quite small for the price we paid, but apparently the lunch offers are much better. The food was too salty and nothing tasted too fresh. Besides, they didn't serve alcohol.
