Teton Kitchen Elmwood Village - Buffalo

The Japanese restaurant serves tasty and authentic dishes. For example, the curry rice had a Thai influence with coconut curry, rather than traditional Japanese katsu curry. The sushi servings were plentiful and the fish was flavorful. They also have a wide variety of Japanese sake and whiskey available.

This restaurant is extremely disappointing in their treatment of customers. There was no coordination in serving food, with appetizers for two being brought out separately and plates not provided until later. They also forgot an order for sushi and charged for alcohol we never ordered. Despite repeatedly asking for water, it was only brought to us once. Our table only had napkins and silverware, so we had to take chopsticks and soy sauce dishes from another table. With only two waitresses, one focused solely on bringing out food, the overall experience was chaotic and unorganized. The taste of the food was average at best, nothing to write home about. The restaurant was only half full, but we will not be returning.

The food at this restaurant was amazing, but they had overbooked and were unable to check people in or seat them. Many customers left without waiting, but we stayed and ultimately enjoyed our meal when it finally arrived. This experience occurred on Valentine's night, so it is unclear if the same issues exist on regular nights.

Ruined our date. Hour and a half couldn’t even get water to the table. What a joke.

We had a lovely time. The service was a bit slow because they seemed short staffed. The patio was beautiful and they were so accommodating to set up a table with a perfectly placed umbrella so we had shade. I would absolutely go back!
