Asked the Camp Host about a good place to eat and he said go to the Cattle Guard, it's where all of th cars are parked. This is a local Gem. Great food at a good price and Cheyenne sling some craft made cocktails. Would recommend this spot to any hungry traveler. Steaks were amazing.
We were passing through town on a Friday night, just 30 minutes before closing time. Despite our late arrival, the staff at the restaurant assured us that we were welcome to take our time and enjoy our meal. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The food was served promptly and was absolutely gourmet. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, which were so delicious that there was nothing left on my plate but bones. The squash casserole on the side was a delightful surprise and the perfect accompaniment to my meal. I had never tasted anything like it before and now I can't wait to have more. If you're in town, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for a meal - it's definitely worth a visit.
We decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from other visitors to Buffalo, and we were not disappointed! Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated. While it is a cloth napkin establishment, it has a casual atmosphere that welcomes locals in jeans. The staff was polite, and our server Krystal was friendly and attentive. The homemade rolls with whipped butter were a standout, and the side salad was fresh and plentiful. The entree portions were generous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Cattle Guard Chicken and half rack of ribs. We will definitely be coming back to Cattle Guard the next time we are in Buffalo!
The wedge salad was excellent and the service was top-notch. The steak was a bit overcooked, but overall it was a fantastic dining experience.
This is a stop for us every year when we go to sturgis. We ride 200 miles just for the filet. Stopped again this year, service is great, friendly and respectful. It's typically crowded but not loud
