Le Café Gourmand - Bujumbura

Best place for bakery and pastry items. Great coffee and ice cream. Serving great breakfast. Best croissant !

Quite possibly the best little French cafe around here. I had a chicken sandwich and cappuccino. We sat upstairs which had beautiful views. Our waiter was nice. I’m only giving 4 stars for the service. Waiter forgot my cappuccino long after everyone else got their coffees. Husband ordered an iced cappuccino but got a mokachino instead still delicious. Would come back for the desserts.

Without a doubt my favourite spot in Bujumbura. It is a world away from everything that goes on in the surrounding streets, a place where you can relax with a coffee and a freshly baked pastry. The croissants, tarts, fresh bread and speculoos ice cream are the standout dishes for me!
