Cramped, and fairly uncomfortable space. There's a stuffed sasquach on the patio which I am sure was hilarious in 2015, but since it seems to have been sitting there for about 10 years in the elements it's a pretty gross matted lump of costume fur. Had a burger that was mid at best, and fries both not crispy enough and not soft enough. Pretty underwhelmed for the 4.7 star rating. Good service and nice people though.
We had shared service Ron and no offense Ron, a beautiful young lady. The food was fantastic, we came from Mesquite to get out of the heat. You won't be disappointed. Beautiful scenery and great food.
This used to be the best restaurant in Duck Creek. We were never turned away saying they couldn’t serve us (on Friday with 30% of the tables full). We came back the next day in hopes to have a great lunch. Sadly we were not acknowledged for 30 minutes and it took over 2 hours to get food, drinks and the bill. Our waitress completely ignored us, talking to her friends and not servicing her tables. We had to flag down a staff member on multiple occasions to get help. We ended up going inside to get our own utensils. Our server never asked us if our food was ok. We wanted another round of drinks and had to beg for help. Our table could have been turned 2 times in the time we were there (over 2 hours). The owner is losing money and needs to hold his staff accountable. I hope improvements can be made. Some suggestions would be to delete menu items that take too long. Have some easy appetizers to serve patrons that want to grab a snack and beverages. Ask the staff to walk all of their tables and check on them. The owner or manager should check on customers once in a while. Ask them if everything was great (that’s something we loved about the previous owner). I always felt like a valued customer and was never ignored (not even when it was busy). Please make improvements and bring back our faith in a restaurant we have loved for years.
Service: “sit anywhere.” Sat for five minutes, staff member comes by and asked if I need a menu, I say yes and she brings me one. I begin to ask a question but she walked away without acknowledging me. Another several minutes later a different staff member came by and asked for my drink order. “What beers do you have on tap?” “None, but you can look back here (pointing into the back room and pick a can or bottle. No taps at all? Huh, okay. I chose one and ordered a burger. I got a nice frosty glass with my (unopened can. Burger was clearly a cheap, frozen patty, but it was decent. Fries were good. When I asked my server what was in the fry sauce she had no idea but said she loved it (good thing I don’t have allergies . I also asked for their wifi password, and was told they don’t give it out because it “clogs up their system.” (Why have two wifi networks, one labeled guest?? Overall underwhelming and meh.
