We went to CJ's Pastries during the weekend and found the service very good and the food was reasonably priced. If you are travelling between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast why not stop in at CJ's. There is ample parking and outdoor seating where your doggie can be with you.Just take the Steve Irwin Way and follow along until you come to the Glasshouse Mtns turn off. It is only a few minutes from the main road.
Getting exceptional service is always a special experience, and I must say that the service I received at this restaurant was unmatched by anything I have ever experienced before.
I cannot comment on the quality of the food, as the service we received was dreadful. The waitress who eventually came to our table was extremely rude.
Expanded? This review about the Burpengary store not listed with TripAdvisor. Run through a 'store walk' in stead of a mystery shopper because some thing are out of your control sometimes. Bad up front: hair in my cheese and bacon sausage roll "that one was from the factory." Good because of reserved seating for CJ's customers inside and out; clean front of shop and although one person was manning the shop the bakery looked great from the outside in the busy place. Drinks fridge stocked, fronted and faced. Cashier smiling and nice and refunded my purchase. Drinks cold and the butter chicken pies are good and different. Chairs seem t have leg support bell curve in them without the usual sit back into a dip for that 'get over comfy hunchback of notredame' ploy to increase your spend to feel satisfied although tables are somewhat unstable. All pastries looked fabulous but must have been a quiet time OR heated to order from the factory because as always, the warmer is never fully stocked in any pie shop After breakfast; always first in best dressed. I myself have worked in service stations where the microwave is fully stocked heating pies while the pie warmer is constantly being emptied for an hour(s) and to no end. Good atmosphere and menu boards. Only downside is the whole sausage roll should have never made it to the plate beside an optometrist!
