Amarano Burbank

From the valets who remember my name, to the front desk staff that do the same, to Harvey, Norm and Ellen behind the bar, everyone at the Amarano treats you like an old friend. The valet always has my car ready and waiting for me in the morning which I especially appreciate. Amarano feels like home.

Great 4 star hotel. Valet parking. Nice rooms and pool is always empty which is a plus. Everytime I stay here I walk to nearby restaurants and stores. I have stayed in the junior suite and king room both very similar looking just size difference. Staff is friendly. Breakfast that is included is very small and

The staff is very friendly and professional.The valet parking is prompt.The continental breakfast, is good for what it is, the variety of bagels is nice. For all these reasons the hotel deserves a 5. The reason I'm giving 3 (and not 4 or 2! Is the cleanliness.I rented two rooms. One by the pool and that seemed ok, but I didn't sleep in that one. The room I stayed at, on the second floor, was not reeaaally bad, but was poorly vacuumed. The space between the mattress and the box was filled with crumbs, dust, hairs and stained. Also the carpet between the two beds was full of the same. I let this know at reception and they promptly sent someone to the room. But to no avail, as this was not fixed. Also the furniture shows its age with dents, here and there, but that could be overlooked, if not for stains from coffee or...I don't know what. Bathroom is the same condition. In summary, don't expect it to be like in the pictures from its site, where the filters did a pretty good job.

Everything about this 1930s glam hotel was fabulous! I got an unexpected upgrade to a junior suite, which was akin to a spacious one-bedroom apartment. Very friendly staff, continental breakfast included, and reasonably priced. A new fan!

I have complained repeatedly, receiving inadequate response. The place stank due to work on the drains”! The loo blocked itself twice! The service was charming but negligent. No toiletries. No plate, no cutlery, constant. Room cleaned twice for entire stay. Cleaning, when done was excellent. The place is clean. Lack of coffee choice for boutique standard. Lots to improve on. Overpriced. Had to ask for a bath robe!
